About the Candidate

Leadership You Can
Always Trust

Born in New Bussa, Niger State in 1980, Olatunde Michaels Oyeyiola hails from Oro Kingdom in Irepodun Local Government of Kwara State. He had his primary education at St. Peter's Catholic Nursery and Primary School and St. Peter's LGEA both in Okerimi Oro, before proceeding to Government Secondary School, Ilorin. He holds a Diploma in Mass Communication and a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations and Advertising from Lagos State University.

Talented and goal-oriented, Olatunde has always been on top of his game. Beginning from 2002, he was three times the president of the students' arm of the Independent Television Producers Association of Nigeria (ITPAN), demonstrating early leadership capacity and active involvement in student representation and union activities.

With a vast multimedia mindset, Olatunde has produced and directed breathtaking projects including the WEMA Bank Alat Launch, MTN Who Rocks Da Mo, Glo-sponsored Dance with Peter, Pepsi Top Ten Chart Show, Arise Fashion Show, Baba Ijebu's Cash Out Promo, British Council's KaLM, The Conversation by Hennessy, Faceoff Celebrity Basketball, and Access Mavin Concert — alongside pacesetting television adverts like MTN's Mama Na Boy, Guinness Extra Smooth TVC with Tuface, and Glo's Me 2 U.

In 2004, Olatunde joined AlphaVision where he led a television revolution that birthed the quintessential Sound City. He also served as the media and event consultant for D'banj-led DKM Media and manager for Peter Okoye of the P-Square duo. In 2014, he joined Trace TV as General Manager, creating and developing content while leading strategic projects such as the Airtel Trace Star Reality TV.

On May 21, 2021, Kwara State Governor HE Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq appointed Olatunde as General Manager of Kwara Television. During his tenure, he graduated the once-dormant station into a 24-hour live transmission service — the first in the state's history — and made Kwara TV accessible on StarTimes, Channel, and Free TV.

Olatunde is the CEO and Founder of Wedding Channel Africa, Africa's first 24-hour wedding channel, broadcasting outstanding shows like Wedding Playlist, Wedding Police, Wedding News, Clicks, Sisi Eko, Bar Room Therapy, 5 Years After, and many more.
